About Rhonda Best’s affiliation with the ACCA
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) is an internationally recognised body for qualifying accounting candidates. I became an ACCA professional or Chartered Accountant in 2004.
I’ve been an elected member of the Corporate Sector Network Panel since 2010 and chaired the Panel in 2013. The Panel, made up of 9 members, act as ambassadors for ACCA, representing the body at events, getting involved in consultations and research projects and writing articles for our sector specific e-zine and monthly issues of A&B.
The Panel also assists ACCA in shaping the support available to the corporate sector (SMEs in particular); communicating messages to the wider membership and raising ACCA’s profile; helping to develop the programme of professional networking events for ACCA members to support their professional development.
Some of my noteworthy Panel contributions over the years include:
In addition to Panel work I also contribute to the ACCA’s Global SME Forum, which provides a unique platform for promoting the role of SMEs in the global economy. This forum is represented by members over 15 countries and a wide range of professional backgrounds – from finance institutions, academics and professional advisers to entrepreneurs themselves. The Forum’s objective is to put the sector’s needs at a global level and facilitate the sharing of best practices.
If you or your business offers a service which solves problems faced by the Corporate Sector or small and medium-sized businesses please get in touch as there may be an opportunity for you to be featured in a publication or speak at an ACCA event.
